Hospital Playlist -- Episodes 1, 2 & 3: True Friendships

As is typical, one is always skeptical when they start on a new journey with a drama they aren't very sure of, especially when titled Hospital Playlist but to have Jung Kyung Ho (my second favorite actor), Yoo Yeon Seok, Jo Jung Suk, Kim Dae Myung, and newcomer Jeon Mi Do all in one drama was incentive enough to delve head in first, and I am glad I did. Not one disappointing scene or moment in this drama.

I loved the show's first outing, but more than that, I loved the unique and special kind of friendship and trust between the leads. The mutual understanding between them is invaluable and endearing. The friendship and bond developed over two decades and whatever comes with that from high to low clearly serves as the most important and guiding principle of the drama -- their strong bond of friendship and support that links them together. I enjoyed this first episode, its free-flowing nature, the setup of each character, their natures, development, and the delivery of it all.

Jung Won's mother, Jung Ro-Sa (Kim Hae Sook), is my favorite character outside of friends; I love the whole godly family. What makes the connection between the leads so strong outside them all being doctors is their passion for music. The band stuff had me in stitches, and I look forward to more of it. In a way, I wish all ten episodes were available, but on the same token, I am okay with the weekly stream, which makes the anticipation that much sweeter. However, that last scene wasn't that their friend's boyfriend in the elevator caught red-handed; boy, oh boy. I love this show and get my weekly dose of Jung Kyung Ho even though Yoo Yeon Seok looks quite sexy. I enjoy their friendship.

There is so much to like in Hospital Playlist, and the twins Jang Yoon Bok (Jo Yi Hyun) and Jang Hong Do (Bae Hyun Sung) are most definitely likable. Maybe it's the youth and hopes they bring, or maybe it's just that they are innocently adorable in how awestruck they are with the doctors; whatever it is, I love them; their answer to Thoracic Chief Resident Do Je Hak's (Jung Moon Sung) question on who is the best cardiothoracic surgeon was to die for, I laughed so hard -- hail to Ji Sung (my third favorite actor) and Teacher Kim from Dr. Romantic -- Do Je Hak's expression and response, I about died. I swear that everything that goes on in this drama defines my Thursdays. I was pretty sure Gyeo Wool liked Jung Won; I was right. I love, love their relationship; it just flows.

My favorite is Yang Suk Hyung. I love his style. The way he talks --, he really doesn't say much, but his peculiarity -- makes me smile. Kim Jun Wan (Jung Kyung Ho) has my heart. I don't know what they mean about him being rude. He is just a matter-of-fact kind of doctor, not much of a sweet talker. I love that about him. Jang Won is the sensitive one; he is so sexy. Chae Song Hwa is the level-headed one. I am glad she is a doctor; singing is not her forte, my ears cringe every time she sings. Lee Ik Jun is easy-going, fun, and positive. They each have something that appeals to me, and what's more important, they have each other to lean on when the going gets tough. As they say, a true friend is someone that sees the pain in your eyes while everyone else believes the smile on your face. They aren't those who make your problems disappear. They are the ones who won't disappear when you're facing problems.
